E volai e liu ena Okotova 2023 ena China, a qai sold out vakaviti, ia sa curu mai Korea. E rua na yabaki dau bera na Samyang me curu na product vou, ia ena gauna oqo e dredre me vakatutu. Au a vakidacala – na Buldak spicy kei na Thai curry e rawa li? Ia ke dau kidacala, me kania ga. Au a volia e $1.60. Me qai curu na review.
Na Pu Phat Phong Curry e dua na famous Thai crab dish. Pu = crab, phat = stir-fry, phong curry = curry powder.

Habit ga. Au a raica e na muri ni lid “Do not drain the water!” Ia sa oti. Na first cup a waste, au a volia tale e dua.

E curu chicken curry base, coconut cream powder, habanero seasoning. Sodium 1,010mg – e lailai cake ena average cup ramen. Allergy: eggs, milk, soy, wheat, shrimp, crab, pork, chicken. Muslim brothers/sisters cannot eat (pork & chicken), Hindu okay.
Na Nutrition kei na Calories

105g = 460kcal. Sodium 1,010mg (51% daily). Carbs 70g, fat 16g, protein 9g. Saturated fat 7g (47%) – from coconut milk probably. If dieting, carbs high; if gym, protein low – add egg or chicken breast.
Sodium Comparison

E 1,010mg – lower than average fried noodle 1,140mg. Compared to Chongqing noodle I reviewed (3,264mg), this is one-third. For soup ramen, pretty good. Still drink lots of water.
Na Cooking Instructions

Clear instructions: open lid, take out soup, pour boiling water, microwave 3 min, add soup and mix. But I didn’t read – habit drain water. Body moved first.
Na Trap ni na Drain Hole

This was the trap. Dotted line triangle – normally poke with chopstick to drain. I did that automatically. But this ramen you must NOT drain. Instant fail.
Na Contents

Fried noodle, red liquid soup (classic Buldak sauce), gold powder soup (Pu Phat Phong flavour). No veg pack – little disappointing.
Na Soups Close-up

Gold = powder for curry flavour. Red = classic Buldak liquid. Instructions say add after, but I drained so I explain drain method (not correct way).
Na Cooking Process

Not correct way but still review. Hot water from dispenser. If no hot water, cold water + microwave 5 min. In Korean convenience stores you can eat inside free – hot water free, microwave free. Just pay for ramen. Overseas sometimes cannot eat inside or pay extra seat fee. In Korea no. Clean up after.

This caused the drain. Dotted triangle – normally poke hole. Habit. But cannot drain this one.
Add Soup and Mix

Added both soups after draining. Orange powder = curry, dark red = Buldak. Mixed.

Orange coating on noodles. Because drained, sauce thick. Curry smell strong with Buldak.

Noodles hold sauce well, thickness same as normal Buldak. Chewy texture, orange colour looks spicy.
Taste Review
From someone who ate Pu Phat Phong Curry countless times in Thailand – honest.
Not super strong but gentle curry aroma. Not exactly real Thai Pu Phat Phong but atmosphere there. If not fried noodle style, maybe better. If soup kept, curry flavour stronger.
Noodle smell very strong. Yet low sodium – shows effort for health trend in Korea.
Spiciness less than original Buldak (4,404 SHU). This around 2,700–3,000 SHU like Carbo. Still spicy. For Koreans okay, for people not used to spicy maybe too hot.
For me original Buldak better. But I didn’t cook correctly so not 100% fair. Will try again without draining. Still, coconut milk + Buldak spicy new and interesting.
Better think Thai-style than real Thai food. If expect exact Pu Phat Phong maybe different. But for $1.60 convenience store quality good. Real Pu Phat Phong in Thailand one plate over $7 easy.
From reviewer who ate over 2000 Thai meals.
Today Buldak Pu Phat Phong Curry review. Many mistakes but next time proper.
