Stunning Riverside Bakery Cafe with Epic Views
Discovering This Stunning Riverside Bakery Cafe
I was scrolling for a new cafe near home because I’ve pretty much hit all the usual spots in the city. Then I stumbled on a post about NOHO – a huge bakery cafe in a quiet countryside area in Sejong (a modern administrative city in South Korea, about 1.5 hours south of Seoul by car). The photos were insane: direct river view and around 1,000㎡ of space. I thought “this I have to see” and jumped in the car.
How to Get to This Riverside Bakery Cafe
It’s not far from home. From Daejeon (a big city about 1.5 hours south of Seoul) it took around 15 minutes by car. The cafe sits along the Geum River bike path, so public transport basically doesn’t exist – you need a car. The road winds through fields and hills, so first-timers might wonder “is there really a cafe here?” But once you arrive, it’s totally worth it. The best part? It’s perfectly in the middle between Daejeon, Cheongju and Sejong – about 20 minutes drive from any of them. Ideal for a short weekend getaway by car.
The Exterior of This Huge Riverside Bakery Cafe

I parked, got out and honestly thought “is this actually a cafe?” Beige stone building, big COFFEE & BAKERY NOHO sign, and a huge lawn in front – the scale is wild. Every tree and plant is perfectly placed, and walking around the building feels more like a resort than a cafe. Being surrounded by nature makes it look even better. You don’t see exteriors like this often. There’s a big grassy area out front where kids can run around – I saw tons of families. First impression? Expectations through the roof.
From Parking to Entrance – The Path Is Already Instagram-Worthy

The parking lot is massive – no stress even on weekends. From the car there’s a long stone path lined with lawn, pines and cypresses. The relaxing vibe starts the moment you step out. You can see the NOHO building in the distance and walking slowly along the path feels amazing – like strolling through a botanical garden on the way to your coffee.
Entrance to NOHO – The Excitement Builds

Up close you see the huge COFFEE & BAKERY NOHO logo on the stone wall – clean and classy. There’s a sign showing ground floor bakery and cafe, upper floors cafe and rooftop. The wooden doors are open, you peek inside and just want to rush in. The wood-and-stone combo is perfect. If the entrance is this good, the inside must be incredible.
Inner Courtyard – Another Wow Moment Right After Entering

You step inside and boom – an open courtyard in a U-shape with wooden decking, a water feature and umbrella tables. It feels like the deck floats on water. On nice days this has to be the best seat in the house. Pets are allowed in outdoor areas, and there’s a clear floor guide so you don’t get lost. Glass walls give a glimpse inside – plenty of seats visible, instant relief.
Seating at This Huge Riverside Bakery Cafe – Comfortable Everywhere

Big cafes sometimes have tons of seats but uncomfortable chairs – not here. Upstairs has cushioned rattan chairs and plants everywhere, feels like sitting in nature. Window seats have four-person tables right by floor-to-ceiling glass with the river straight ahead – beautiful light, perfect for photos. Ground floor has super comfy leather sofas overlooking trees and the river – highly recommend for long stays. Space is generous, high chairs for kids, and even on weekends I found a spot easily.
Menu at NOHO – Freshly Baked Goods and Signature Drinks

I ordered a croissant, Basque cheesecake, Bundaberg grapefruit sparkling, and the signature NOHO latte with green cream – looked too pretty not to photograph. The croissant was perfectly crispy outside, soft inside, full of buttery flavor because everything is baked on site. They had salt bread, scallion bagels, rice cream buns – lots of variety. Prices are average for a place this size: Americano ~$4.50, lemonade ~$5.30, croissants $3.80–$4.50. Not the cheapest, but the quality and that view make it worthwhile.
The Riverside View at This Bakery Cafe – The Real Reason to Come

The real star is the riverside view. Step outside and the Geum River spreads right in front of you – little island in the middle, layered green hills on the opposite bank. The upper floor outdoor walkway has protruding viewing platforms for even wider panorama. Breeze in your face, staring at the river – time flies. There’s also a sky garden on the top floor with open views. Sunset here must be magical with golden shimmer on the water. The view alone makes the trip worth it.
My Honest Review of This Riverside Bakery Cafe – Definitely Coming Back
In one sentence: great view, great bread, great space. The only downside is you need a car, but for a relaxing drive it’s perfect. Huge parking, nice walking path, plenty of seats. Above all, just sitting by the river and zoning out was pure bliss. Works for couples, families or solo chilling. Only 20 minutes from Daejeon, Cheongju or Sejong – if you’re wondering where to go this weekend, try here. I’m already planning my next visit.
